2. What’s your major? What year will you graduate?
My major is Journalism and I'll graduate in 2016
3. Why did you choose a photography class (or photography as a major), and what do you hope to learn from school in general and this class specifically?
I chose this class because I thought it would be a good to be familiar with photography, hence that I am an journalism major. Words and pictures go together.
4. What are your goals after graduation? Please list your goals in reverse order, starting five years out, then three, two, one, and six months.
My goals are : graduate college, find a job in my profession (hopefully in the dfw area), Move out of my parents house, Find love <3
5. What artists, musicians, photographers, writers, movies, books have influenced you/your work?
Jhene Aiko influences me.
6. Where do you get information about current national and international events?
I normally watch the news or major networks like CNN.
7. Are there any important websites that you are referencing for art/photo competitions and/or information?
Not that I know of.
8. What museums and/or galleries have you been to in the past year?
The last museum I went to was one dedicated to science.
9. Have you had any photo projects and/ or training in the past?
I know how to develop photos in the black room. I did that like sophomore year of highschool.
10. What is the value of art for the artist?
Having their fears, thoughts, creative imagines come alive in the art.
11. What is the value of art for the audience?
To understand.
12. Is photography a vocation or an avocation?
I believe photography is a vocation.
13. What is your passion?
I'm passionate in writing, friends, my family, and animals.
14.What are you afraid of? What makes you uncomfortable?
I'm afraid of opening myself up to someone for them to shut me down. I'm most afraid of loosing my closest friends. I feel like my friends are more like family. We fight over the stupidest things sometimes.
15. Do you have a passport? What traveling have you done or would like to do?
I do have a passport. So far I've been to Jamaica and Mexico. I would like to go to Europe next.
16. Why did you sign up for this class? What do you hope to learn from it?
I signed up to learn more about photography and how to make good photos.
